Academic Awards
The following Academic Awards are presented annually at the Autumn Welcome Back to Second-Year Event or Spring Second-Year Celebration. Students do not apply for these awards: selection is based on academic records and nominations.
The Henry Ford II Scholar Award - Awarded annually to a second-year Full-Time MBA Program student, who after the first year of study at Chicago Booth has an outstanding Scholastic Record. Candidates must have completed at least nine courses and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.78. The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria and student resumes. The Bain & Company MBA Award for Strategy - Awarded annually to graduating Full-Time MBA Program student with the best scholastic record in strategy. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (based on courses completed through second week of the quarter in which the student graduates), a concentration in strategy, community involvement, and leadership qualities. The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria and student resumes. Presented at Spring Second-Year Celebration
The George Hay Brown Marketing Prize - Awarded annually to graduating Full-Time MBA Program student with the best scholastic record in marketing. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (based on all courses completed through second week of the quarter in which the student graduates) and have taken or enrolled in at least five marketing classes, where one is 37000. The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria. Presented at Spring Second-Year Celebration
The Center of Research and Security Prices Award for Excellence in Finance - Awarded annually to graduating Full-Time MBA Program student with the best scholastic record in finance. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.94 (based on courses completed through second week of the quarter in which the student graduates) and a concentration in finance and/or analytic finance. The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria.

The Ryerson Prize for General Management - Awarded annually to graduating Full-Time MBA Program student with the most outstanding academic record and demonstrated interest in the field of general management. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (based on courses completed through second week of the quarter in which the student graduates) and an internship in non-service sector or in general management. The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria and student resumes. Presented at Spring Second-Year Celebration
The Oscar G. and Elsa S. Mayer Prize - Awarded annually to graduating Full-Time MBA Program student with the best scholastic record. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.94 (based on courses completed through second week of the quarter in which the student graduates).The Faculty Awards Committee selects the recipient based on eligibility criteria.
