Ph.D. Program - Math Camp

Math for Basic Research

The Booth provides an optional two to three week intensive math review course for incoming Ph.D. students. Offered free of charge, it is also available to incoming Ph.D. students in other University of Chicago departments. Officially called "Math for Basic Research," this course provides an opportunity to hone your math skills or learn areas of math lacking in your background prior to delving into the rigorous studies of a number of Ph.D. programs.

Math Camp will be taught by one or two of the Booth Ph.D. Program's advanced students.

Details of the course curriculum, time schedule and identity of the instructors will be finalized during the summer and announced to the incoming students.
