International Programs

At Chicago Booth, we recognize that international experience and a firm understanding of the global marketplace lead to greater depth and sophistication among today’s business leaders. Thus, we are committed to providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to address business challenges at the global level. To this end, we offer a variety of opportunities for students to add an international perspective to their business education.

International Programs (IP) oversees two academic programs, as well as promotes international activities and initiatives in Chicago and around the world. Chicago Booth students have the flexibility to add the appropriate level of international expertise needed to meet their academic and professional goals. Students seeking a basic knowledge of global business issues may take a few specialty courses and earn a concentration in International Business.

Students seeking academic opportunities in another business culture can participate in study abroad through our International Business Exchange Program (IBEP); and students seeking a competitive advantage in international business can pursue our specialized International MBA degree (IMBA). The IMBA degree is ideal for students interested in gaining applied international experience which will position them for a career in international business.
